Inquiry Spotlight
This page strives to highlights standards-aligned classroom inquiries that have been taught in Illinois educators' classrooms.
The intent of this portion of the Illinois Social Science Teachers in Action website is to highlight some of the great things going on in social science education across the state. Teachers in Illinois are working hard to engage their students of all ages in meaningful inquiry. Even though Illinois is a local-control state and therefore can not prescribe curriculum, we would like to facilitate the sharing of inquiries that have proven successful within classrooms.
In order to submit an inquiry please click the submit button in the side bar and include as much of the information requested as possible. We hope that this page can begin to be a place where classroom-tested Illinois inquiries can be found in order to share the wonderful things teachers in Illinois have created.

Inquiries do not need to have gone perfectly to be included, there is value in learning what you'd do differently next time! **Inclusion of an inquiry in the spotlight DOES NOT indicate an endorsement of curriculum by the State of Illinois**Categories
